Young Boy Crashes Car in Heidelberg

Police have charged the boy's mother and grandmother.

Local news agencies are reporting that a young boy was injured after getting behind the wheel of a car in Heidelberg Monday morning and crashing it into a nearby house.

The car crashed into a house in the 1600 block of Washington Avenue around 9 a.m., according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. WPXI reports that the car belonged to the boy's grandmother. The boy was taken to UPMC Children's Hospital for treatment of burns. The grandmother, Rebecca Linderman, and mother, Lisa Linderman—who both were home at the time—will be charged with endangering the welfare of a child, according to the report.
