Police say the Carnegie woman left three young children in the car while temperatures reached 84 degrees. Also in the weekly police blotter, read about a rash of car burglaries at Chartiers Terrace.

Children allegedly left in hot car: A 22-year-old Carnegie woman faces three counts of child endangerment after said she left three kids in her car to shop at Walmart as temperatures reached 84 degrees outside. Police said Martina Searcy left the children, who are ages 5, 4 and 6-months, in the car and were sweating in the vehicle when officers arrived to check on their conditions shortly after 6 p.m. on May 23. Police arrested Searcy and notified Children, Youth and Families of Allegheny County about the situation.

Several cars burglarized at Chartiers Terrace: Scott police said items were stolen from inside of at least four unlocked cars parked at Chartiers Terrace in the early hours of May 21. Police did not say what items were stolen or the value of the missing property. Meanwhile, items were also stolen from a car parked in the 400 block of Kismet Street on May 24.

Man accused of entering home: Casey J. Delpercio, 22, of Bethel Park, was charged with trespassing after Scott police said the tried to enter a residence in the 1700 block of Norsen Drive on May 25.

Assault charges: Charles McCormick, 36, of Carnegie was charged with assault following a fight on Magazine Street on May 25, Scott police said.

Police say man violated PFA: Paul Delconte, 27, of Bridgeville, was charged with violating his protection from abuse order and possession of a controlled substance on May 27, Scott police said.

DUI arrest: Robert Sabilla Jr., 51, of Carnegie, was charged with drunken driving on May 26 after Scott police said they stopped his car on Joseph Street.

Drug paraphernalia charge: Scott Township police said Christoper Andreou, 21, of Collier, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on May 24.

Public drunkenness arrest: Jeffrey Aldridge, 39, of Carnegie, was charged with public drunkenness on May 25 after Scott police said they found him intoxicated on Carothers Avenue.

Trespassing charge at Walmart: William Deep, 25, of South Fayette, was charged with trespassing after Scott police said he entered Walmart on May 21 after being told twice not to return to the store.

Flower arrangements stolen: Hanging baskets at the Country Barns store along Bower Hill Road were stolen in the early hours of May 23, Scott police said.

Car window smashed: A vehicle window was broken out while the car was parked at Jamestown Court, although nothing was taken, Scott police said.

 

Man found passed out at store: charged Tatem Lee, 36, of Carnegie, with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after officers said they found him passed out at Big Lots on May 14.

Truck vandalized: A dump truck’s headlamp was smashed by vandals while it was parked at a Noblestown Road residence in the early hours of May 26, Collier police said.

 

Traffic stop leads to drug charge: Alexander Sedar, 18, of Carnegie, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and three counts of corruption of minors after a traffic stop on Collier Avenue on May 26, said.

 

Man accused of making alarming phone calls: John Fagan, 54, of Bridgeville, was charged with disorderly conduct on May 18 after said an Emsworth resident told investigators that they were receiving “unwanted, alarming” phone calls.

Junked car left on Station Street: Bridgeville police said they charged Erika Cora with violating the borough code on May 23 for leaving her junked car behind a building in the 400 block of Station Street and refusing to move it two weeks after being notified of the problem.
