Upper St. Clair Man Charged After Rite Aid Theft

Bridgeville Police news through June 22.

An Upper St. Clair man was charged after store security at Rite Aid reported to police that the man stole two items from the store.

Bridgeville police responded to the Rite Aid at the corner of Chartiers Street and Washington Avenue at 10:20 a.m. on June 17 for a report of a theft that had just occurred.

According to the police report, store security told police they witnessed a man—later identified as Robert A. Olsen, Jr., 56, of Upper St. Clair—steal a pair of sunglasses and a small air compressor, with a combined value of $38.65.

Bridgeville police investigated the incident and charged Olsen with retail theft, according to the report.

  • Scott Dailey, 23, of Bridgeville, was charged with False Reports to Law Enforcement after police responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Werner Street on June 18 at 3:40 a.m.
  • Police responded to Washington Avenue on June 22 for a report of a man throwing rocks into the road. According to the police report, a highly intoxicated male was found staggering in the area. James Woodson, 24, of South Fayette, was arrested for Public Intoxication and was held at the police station until he was sober.
