Unusual Items Stolen During Carriage Park Apartment Burglary

Scott Township police said some unusual items were stolen during a burglary at Carriage Park Apartments last month. Find out what was taken in the weekly Scott Township police blotter.

Scott Township police said some unusual items were stolen during a burglary at Carriage Park Apartments last month.

A resident at the Greentree Road apartment complex told Scott Township police they came home to find their unit was burglarized and a DVD player, bus pass and various food items.

Police said they think the burglary happened in the evening hours of Nov. 26.

Police did not have more details on the incident or whether they have any suspects in the case.

Scott Township

Assault and theft charges: Scott Township police say a McDonald man tried to steal items from Walmart and assaulted employees as they tried to stop him on Nov. 30. Police said they charged 19-year-old Alexander Sinclair with robbery, assault and retail theft after they located him a short time later.

Arrest warrant leads to more charges: Maria Brentin, 21, of Scott, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia when township police said they executed an arrest warrant on her for other on Nov. 26.

DUI arrest: Scott Township police said Lynn Baker, 50, of Oakdale, was charged with drunken driving after a one-car crash in the 300 block of Kane Boulevard on Nov. 29.

Retail theft and other charges: Thomas Popp, 44, and Margaret Popp, 43, both of South Fayette, were charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia while at Lowe’s on Nov. 29.

Vandals hit vacant building: Windows were broken and graffiti painted on a vacant Carothers Avenue building on Dec. 1, Scott Township police said.
