Two Injured in I-79 Rollover Crash

The crash caused heavy delays Friday morning on I-79.

Two people were seriously injured after their sport-utility vehicle crashed Friday morning on Interstate 79 in South Fayette Township.

The vehicle was traveling in the northbound lanes near the Bridgeville exit around 6:30 a.m. when it swerved from the right lane and crashed into a tractor-trailer in the other lane, state police Trooper Robin Mungo said. The car appeared to roll over in the crash.

The driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to an area hospital, where they are in serious condition, Mungo said.
