Two Accused of Trying to Steal Copper Pipes From Vacant Bridgeville Home

Two people were arrested after Bridgeville police said they entered an unoccupied borough home and tried to steal various items.

Police charged Zach Moore, 19, of South Fayette, and Matthew Boehm, 24, of Pittsburgh, and charged them with criminal mischief.

Investigators said a water meter and copper pipes and fittings were removed from the walls, but were left inside the vacant house in the 1400 block of Romano Drive.

Officers were notified of the situation on Dec. 12.

Bridgeville

Worker accused of stealing drill: Bridgeville police said a hammer drill worth $233 was stolen from a work vehicle on Dec. 10, and accused a worker of taking the tool. Police charged Clayton Gogarty, 24, of Bridgeville, with charges of theft and receiving stolen property.

Threats made to woman: Bridgeville police said they were called to the 1300 block of a Terrace Street home on Jan. 2 for a man threatening a woman. Police said they charged Joseph Miniajlo, 19, of Bridgeville, with simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment following the fight.

Drug charges: Katlyn Schmude, 18, of Bridgeville was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia after borough police said they responded to an incident in the 700 block of Mill Street on Dec. 15.

Assault charges: John Krantz, 58, of Bridgeville, was charged with indecent assault, simple assault and harassment following after a woman told borough police she was assaulted at a home in the 1300 block of Liberty Street on Dec. 20.

Generator stolen: Bridgeville police charged two men in connection with the theft of a generator worth $300 from a borough property on Dec. 27. Police charged as Brian Butt, 24, of Bridgeville, and Grant Goeckeler, 29, of Pittsburgh, with theft and receiving stolen property.

DUI charge: Allison Phillips, 21, of California, PA, was charged with drunken driving in the early hours of Jan. 5 after Bridgeville police said she made an illegal turn from Hickman Street onto Washington Avenue.
