Three drivers arrested for DUI in South Fayette and Collier Township waived their charges to court before their preliminary hearings with District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet on March 4.

Charges waived to court

  • Charges of drunken driving and illegally parking on the interstate against Lavelle C. Forrest, 47, of Houston, were waived to court. State police arrested Forrest on Dec. 1 during a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in South Fayette.
  • Charges of drunken driving and careless driving against Zachary Barzanty, 23, of Bridgeville, were waived to court. Charges of accident involving damage and false information to police were withdrawn. South Fayette police arrested Barzanty on Dec. 31.
  • Charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, speeding, careless driving and disorderly conduct against Jacob M. Green, 19, of Bethel Park, were waived to court. State police arrested Green during a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Collier Township on Dec. 19.

 

Charges held for court

  • Felony charges of receiving stolen property and fleeing police, along with several traffic citations, against Joseph T. Minno, 27, of Adah, were held for court. South Fayette police charged Minno on Oct. 1.
