Several guns stolen from a Bridgeville home in September were recovered when numerous police officers and the Allegheny County SWAT Team stormed a Union Street residence earlier this month.
Bridgeville police said four guns were stolen from a home on Sept. 20, prompting a search for the weapons.
Police said their investigation led them to 173 Union St., where they served a “high risk” search warrant on Oct. 8. Officers found the three rifles and one shotgun, two of which apparently had their serial numbers filed off, during the raid, police said.
They arrested Daron “Peanut” Parks, 19, of Bridgeville, and charged him with four counts each of firearm theft and receiving stolen property. Parks also faces two counts of altering or obliterating marks of identification. He was taken to Allegheny County Jail.
Eight adults and two children were also inside the house at the time of the raid. Police said several tried to escape through a rear door, but were stopped by officers guarding the back of the house. Police said there was evidence of drug use and underage drinking.
Police from Bridgeville, Collier, Heidelberg, Scott Township and South Fayette participated in the raid with the Allegheny County SWAT Team.
