South Fayette Men Accused of Stealing Scrap

The men agreed to plead guilty to trespassing and disorderly conduct on Monday.

Two South Fayette men accused of stealing scrap metal from an Upper St. Clair Township property agreed to plead guilty to criminal trespass and a summary disorderly conduct Monday during their preliminary hearing.

Edmund Bruce Jones and Brandon Scott Jones, both of 933 Boyce Road, were originally facing one count of theft by unlawful taking and one count of defiant trespass each.

In the criminal complaints filed by , police stated that an employee saw the men stealing scrap metal from a house owned by the township that was being demolished and called the police department.

When an officer arrived to the scene around 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, the officer stated he saw the men put down a load of blue aluminum siding and saw a pickup truck full of siding as well.

The officer stated he watched the men put all of the siding back and didn't take any of the metal with them.

ordered the men to each pay the maximum fine of $300.
