A man apparently “angry about something” fired a rifle shot from the porch of his Union Street home earlier this month, Bridgeville police said.
Police said they were called to the home shortly before 8 p.m. on Oct. 5 for a report of shots fired and found 54-year-old Ronald Oehm.
He was arrested without incident, police said, after he allegedly shot one round from his 30-06 rifle into the air from his porch. Two other guns were seized from his home police said.
“The shot was fired in the general direction of homes and businesses in Bridgeville and Collier Township,” police said in a press release. “Several people were on the front porch of the house next to Oehm’s at the time the shot was fired.”
Police said Oehm was charged with reckless endangerment because “the bullet could have traveled a great distance and killed or injured someone.” He also faces charges of disorderly conduct and firearms violation.
No one was injured in the incident, police said.
