Scott Township police arrested a Carnegie man on numerous charges after officers said he stole various items from a yard and tried to sell them for scrap.

Police charged 42-year-old Thomas Castelli with theft and drug offenses following an incident on Lea Street on Dec. 14.

Police said Castelli stole items from a yard and intended to sell them for scrap.

While investigating, police said they found him in possession of items used to ingest narcotics.

Scott Township

False reports to charges: Scott Township police said they charged two people following an incident in the 300 block of Vanadium Road in the early hours of Dec. 15. Police said they charged Albert Spader, 27, of Scott, with false reports to police when he allegedly tried to implicate his ex-girlfriend in an incident. Police also charged Ashlee Kara, 30, of Dormont with public drunkenness.

Trespassing at gas station: Roland Bellisario, 50, of South Fayette, was charged with trespassing after Scott police said he went to the GetGo gas station along Washington Avenue on Dec. 16 after being told by management that he wasn’t permitted on the property.

DUI crash: Kristen Hill, 26, of Scott, was charged with drunken driving and other traffic offenses after township police said she was involved in a crash in the 300 block of Twin Oaks Road on Dec. 12.

Traffic stop leads to charge: Vincent Sparacino, 25, of Pittsburgh, was charged with disorderly conduct during a traffic stop on Superior Street on Dec. 15, Scott police said.

Christmas decorations damaged: Christmas decorations were damaged in the 300 block of Woodcliff Circle on Dec. 14, Scott police said.

Package stolen from apartment: A UPS package was stolen from the lobby of Hillgate Place in the Carriage Park Apartments complex on Dec. 11, Scott Township police said.

Parked car vandalized at church: Scott Township police said a tire of a car parked in the Good Shepherd Church on Kane Boulevard was flattened on Dec. 12.

Vehicle damaged while at business: A vehicle parked at Federouch Landscaping on Hope Street was damaged in the early hours of Dec. 13, Scott Township police said.
