Scott Woman Charged with Switching Price Tags at Sears

Upper St. Clair Township police are charging a woman with switching price tags on six neck chains valued at more than $600 total at the South Hills Village Sears on June 15.

Charged with retail theft in connection with the incident is Shailaja Godugu, 34, a non-U.S. citizen who resides along Chatham Park Drive in Scott Township.

Police and Sears security officers observed Godugu's actions, according to court documents.

Godugu pleaded guilty to the retail theft charge before district Judge Robert C. Wyda on Monday and was fined almost $450.
