Police Make Cocaine Arrest in Bridgeville

Crime updates from Bridgeville Police, July 19 to July 23.

A Bridgeville man was arrested and found to be in possession of cocaine after Bridgeville police assisted a federal agency in serving an arrest warrant.

Andrew Brown, 23, was arrested at a home in the 100 block of Vesper Street at 7:15 a.m. on July 22. According to the police report, police saw white powder on an electronic scale at the home, and the powder tested positive for cocaine.

Police seized the scale, a bong and a large number of marijuana pipes. Bridgeville Police filed charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown was taken into custody by federal agents.

  • John Wiser, 56, of Monroeville was arrested after an officer on patrol saw him passed out in a vehicle on Shady Avenue at 9:15 p.m. on July 19, according to the police report.Β  Police said Wiser was found to be highly intoxicated and was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
  • Jae W. Wright , 35, of South Fayette was arrested for an alcohol-related DUI. Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at Bank Street and Lesnett Rd. at 9:50 p.m. on July 23, where Wright had been one of the drivers involved, according to the police report.
