A fugitive wanted on theft charges was arrested when police said they found him drunk in Heidelberg. Also read about a theft at a popular Collier Township BBQ stand.

Fugitive arrested while drunk in public: A 30-year-old Carnegie man wanted on a warrant for retail theft and criminal conspiracy in West Mifflin was arrested in Heidelberg, borough police said. Patrick M. Grimes and another man were stopped for public drunkenness on June 7 when said they found he was wanted by another police department.

False info to police: Robert Johnson, 32, of Sturgeon, was charged with giving false information to police during a traffic stop on June 6, Heidelberg police said.

Fight leads to charges: Heidelberg police said they charged 28-year-old borough resident James A. Wolukis with harassment, stalking and simple assault following a fight on June 6.

Traffic stop leads to charges: Heidelberg police said they charged Gary Lin, 18, of Scott, was charged with disorderly conduct because of his “actions and demeanor” during a traffic stop along Greentree Road on June 8. Police did not elaborate on what Lin did to receive the disorderly conduct charge.

Drug charges during traffic stop: Heidelberg police said Syed Haque, 18, of Imperial, and Anas Hoque, 18, of Upper St. Clair, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia during a traffic stop on June 10. Police also said Hoque was carrying false identification.

 

Jogger assaulted: Brandon King, 19, of Scott, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after said he assaulted a jogger in the 600 block of Bank Street on May 23. Police said the two had gotten into an argument earlier in the day.

DUI crash: Amy Erfort, 39, of Bethel Park, was charged with drunken driving, resisting arrest and careless driving after Bridgeville police said she drover over a small hillside in the 400 block of Bower Hill Road on May 25.

DUI arrest: Bridgeville said they charged Philip Kyritz, 43, of Upper St. Clair, with drunken driving and driving on a suspended license after he ran a stop sign at Hickman Street on May 26.

Disorderly conduct charge: James Miller, 18, of Bridgeville, was charged with disorderly conduct following a traffic stop in which he was a passenger in the car on May 31, borough police said.

 

BBQ stand’s umbrella’s stolen: Two aluminum umbrellas worth $120 each were stolen from Two Brother B-B-Q located on Thoms Run Road some time between June 8 and 9, said.

 

Retail theft charge: Jennifer Summers, 27, of Weirton, WV, was charged with retail theft after said she tried to steal items from Lowe’s on June 7. Police said they also found her in possession of drug paraphernalia.

False prescription arrest: Scott Township police said they arrested Jeremy Theakston, 29, of Belle Vernon, and 33-year-old Gregory Goodwin after they allegedly tried to obtain medication from the Walmart Pharmacy with a fake prescription on June 10.

Person assaulted and robbed: Scott police said a person was assaulted and robbed of his money while in the 400 block of Hill Street on June 10.

Fake ID leads to charge: Scott police said they charged Nicholas Sylvester, 19, of McKees Rocks, with harassment after he allegedly argued with the staff while trying to order alcohol using fake identification.

Credit cards and checks stolen: Scott Township police are investigating the use of a credit card and checks from an office located at Scott Towne Center between May 31 and June 5.
