Police said a Washington woman tried to steal $88 worth of DVDs by stuffing them down her pants.

DVD stuff in pants: Two Washington County women face retail theft charges after Collier police said one of them stuffed $88 worth of DVDs in her pants and tried to leave Kmart without paying. Police said Lisa Garretti, 29, of Washington, tried to take several DVDs on March 1 and was stopped by Kmart employees when she tried to leave the store. When officers arrived, they found Jayme Marshall, 47, of Houston, with other stolen items in a van parked outside, police said.

Video game controller stolen: Glenn Moray, 47, of Dormont, was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property after Collier police said he took a $55 video game controller from Kmart on Feb. 29.

Simple assault charge: Collier police said they charged 33-year-old Marc Ingram with simple assault and reckless endangerment following a dispute at his Manor Drive home on March 4.

Bad purchases: Bridgeville police said they arrested two men after they allegedly made fraudulent purchases from a Washington Avenue store on March 1. Police charged Scott Rupich, 22, of McDonald, and Gregory Scott, 21, of Clinton, with theft, theft by deception and criminal conspiracy, and both were taken to Allegheny County Jail.

Prescription drug charge: Carrie Wetzel, 23, of Mt. Lebanon, was charged with possession of a controlled substance on March 1 after Bridgeville police said they stopped her car on Washington. Police said she had a narcotic pain pill, but did not have a prescription for it.

 

Gas station worker arrested: Heidelberg police arrested Joshua A. Ellis, 19, of Carnegie, on March 1 after investigators said he took unspecified items while working at the Exxon gas station along Route 50. Police charged Ellis with theft, retail theft and receiving stolen property.

DUI charge: Heidelberg police said they charged 26-year-old Carl W. Wilburn II with drunken driving, careless driving and driving on the wrong side of the road following a traffic stop along Collier Avenue on March 4.

 

Grocery store fight: Scott police said they charged 39-year-old township resident Brian Acheson with harassment after a confrontation with anoter shopper at the Bottom Dollar grocery store on Washington Avenue.

Domestic dispute: Christopher A. Volpe, 33, of Scott, was charged with simple assault after a domestic dispute at his Locust Street residence, township police said.

Disorderly conduct charge: Brooks Pappert, 20, of Scott, was charged with disorderly conduct after township police said they found a small amount of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop along Vanadium Road on March 2.

Underage drinking arrest: Benjamin Saltzman, 18, of Collier, was charged with underage drinking and public drunkenness after Scott police said they found him in a Bower Hill Road home’s yard on March 3. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

Purse stolen at Walmart: A woman told Scott police her purse was stolen on March 3 while she was shopping at Walmart.
