A driver is accused of nearly hitting two police officers directing traffic in a construction zone.

Construction zone near-miss: A Crawford County woman faces several charges after Heidelberg police said she nearly struck two police officers directing traffic in a construction zone. Renita E. Arrington, 50, of Meadville, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, disorderly conduct and two counts of reckless endangerment following the Nov. 3 incident on East Railroad Street. Police said Arrington ran over orange construction cones and nearly struck officers and workers stationed in two separate construction zones. Police said they found open beer containers and various prescription pills in her car. She was taken Allegheny County Jail on $10,000 bond after police said she made threats against the officers upon being stopped. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 1 before District Judge Gary Zyra.

Stalking charge: Nicholas Foster, 35, of Mt. Lebanon, was charged with stalking and public drunkenness following an incident at the Heidelway bar in the early hours of Oct. 8. Police said Foster was screaming and beating the door of his ex-girlfriend.

Jewelry stolen: Two watches and a necklace were stolen from a Royal Oak Road house on some time in October, Scott police said.

Public intox charge: Scott Township police said Janelle Baker, 43, of Carnegie, was charged with public drunkenness and theft after on Nov. 1.

Motorcycle stolen: A Suzuki motorcycle was stolen from a garage on Torrence Avenue on Halloween night, Scott police said.

DUI charge: Dawn Kushner, 38, of Scott was charged with drunken driving on Nov. 3 after township police said they found her sleeping in her car on Spreading Oak Drive.

Retail theft: Jeanne Maimone, 46, of Heidelberg, was charged with retail theft after Scott police said she attempted to take merchandise from Shop ‘n Save on Nov. 4.

Public drunkenness charge: Diane Kaiser, 49, of Robinson, was charged with public drunkenness on Nov. 4 after Scott police said they found her intoxicated at Shop ‘n Save.

Retail theft charge: Mary Tumminello, 24, of Scott, was charged with retail theft after township police said she took merchandise at Marshall’s on Nov. 6.

 

Careless driving: Bridgeville police said a Sheraden man passed an unmarked police cruiser on Bower Hill Road by driving on the sidewalk. Police said 43-year-old Michael Bucaro passed the police car in broad daylight on Nov. 1 before being pulled over. Police said Bucaro gave them false information during the traffic stop, although officers later arrested him at his home. He was charged with false identification to police, driving on a suspended license and careless driving.

Hit-and-run crash: Bridgeville police are investigating the afternoon hit-and-run at Bethany Church on Oct. 27. Police said a dark green Dodge pickup truck hit a car and then drove south on Washington Avenue toward South Fayette. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call .

Missing wheelchair: A wheelchair was found Oct. 30 on Eisner Avenue and turned over to police. If anyone knows who owns the wheelchair, contact Bridgeville police at 412-221-6052.

 

DUI arrest: Cameron Ashe, 46, of Bethel Park, was charged with drunken driving and careless driving after Collier police said he did not stop at a red light at Washington Pike and Thoms Run Road on Oct. 29.
Gym gag stolen: A gym bag containing two coats and a pair of running shoes valued at $500 was taken from a locker inside LA Fitness on Oct. 29, Collier police said

Firewood removed: Collier police said a half-cord of fire wood worth about $150 was stolen from a Steen Hollow Road residence on Oct. 31, Collier police said.

Retail theft: Karen Miller, 45, of Washington, Pa., was charged with retail theft after Collier police said she put $84 worth of hair care products in her purse at Kmart without paying on Nov. 6.
