Two men are charged with stealing money from one of their mother's safety deposit box.

Child left home along: Ashley Waller, 23, of Wilkinsburg, faces child endangerment charges after Scott police said she left her 3-year-old daughter alone at a School Street home on Nov. 12.

Safety deposit box theft: Kevin Schaap and 47-year-old David Groh, both of Pittsburgh, were charged with theft after Scott Township police said they stole money from a safe deposit box owned by Groh’s mother. Police filed the charges on Nov. 4 and said the two men took money from the safety deposit box at Citizens Bank in Manor Oak Shopping Center.

Stolen welfare card: Scott Township police charged Charles Ragland, 40, of Carnegie, with robbery, theft and access device fraud after investigators said he stole a person’s welfare card and later used it. Police said the victim was injured in the Nov. 12 incident.

Firefighters harassed: Maurice Hayes, 30, of Scott, was charged with harassment last month after township police said he made continuous harassing comments to Glendale firefighters and Scott EMS members at their Carothers Avenue station.

False 911 call: Cassandra L. Dent, 25, of Scott, was charged with filing a false police reporting and providing false ID after township police said she made a fake call to emergency dispatchers on Nov. 11. Police said they also arrested her on an outstanding warrant from Allegheny County.

Vehicle break-in: Someone broke in a car parked near Old St. Luke’s Church for a wedding on Nov. 11 and stole a purse inside the vehicle, Scott police said.

Bikes stolen: Scott police said two bicycles were stolen from the rear yard of a Lindsay Road home on Nov. 12.

 

Stolen tool: Collier police responded to a retail theft at Home Depot on Nov. 7, but were unable to catch the two suspects. Police said two Hispanic men in their mid-20s stole two tool sets worth about $500 and ran from the store. A white woman with blond hair and in her late 20s picked them up in a maroon Toyota Rav4 and left the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call the at 412-276-5051.

DUI crash: Amber Dell, 19, of Scott, was charged with drunken driving, underage drinking and numerous traffic violations after Collie police said she crashed on Oct. 18. Police said she was speeding when her car crashed into a hillside off Noblestown Road in the Fort Pitt neighborhood of the township.

 

Public drunkenness arrest: Jose Lebron, 40, of South Fayette, was charged with public drunkenness on Nov. 11 after Bridgeville police said they saw him staggering on Washington Avenue and was nearly hit by a police cruiser. Police said they found an empty bottle of vodka in his jacket pocket.
