A woman tried to kick out a police car's windows after she was arrested for public drunkenness.

Public drunkenness charge: Amanda Stocker, 22, of Carnegie, was charged with public drunkenness after Bridgevile police said they found her drunk and combative with officers in the early hours of Jan. 23. Officers said she tried to kick out the police car’s windows while being transported to the Scott Township Police Department’s holding cell.

Window smashed: Christopher Scott, 27, of Carnegie, was charged with criminal mischief after Bridgeville police said he broke a window at a Taylor Way business on Dec. 26.

Sleeping in the laundry room: Rich Abel, 45, of Bridgeville, was charged with defiant trespassing after borough police said they found him sleeping ins the Bridgeville Towers laundry room on Jan. 19.

Harassment charge: Bridgeville police said they charged 59-year-old borough resident Scott Barker with harassment following a fight with a woman at a Hickman Street residence on Jan. 21.

Assault charge: Charles Brownlee, 36, of Bridgeville, was arrested on a simple assault charge after borough police said he got into a fight with two other people at a residence in the 300 block of Greenwood Place on Jan. 22.

Hiding a fugitive: Bridgeville police arrested 25-year-old Eric Abare after officers said he hid a friend wanted on an active arrest warrant in the bathroom of his McLaughlin Run Road apartment on Jan. 23. Police charged him with hindering apprehension and obstruction of justice.

 

Hope Hollow buildings burglarized: A Hope Hollow Road home was broken into and ransacked on Jan. 16, but Scott Township police said nothing appears to missing from the residence. The next day, someone kicked in the front door at A. Petrelli & Son stone company on Hope Hollow, and once again, nothing there was taken, police said. Investigators did not say if they think the two incidents are connected.

Car break-ins at JCC: Three cars parked at the Jewish Community Center on Jan. 17 were broken into and various items were stolen, Scott police said. Money, credit cards and purses were taken from the vehicles and police are investigating who may have stolen the items.

Threatening a witness: Mark Mesagno, 48, of Heidelberg, was charged with terroristic threats and intimidation of a witness after Scott police said he threatened to harm a witness in a domestic violence case against him. Police said Mesagno was arrested at his home and arraigned at Allegheny County Jail.

Retail theft arrest: Joseph Risden, 24, of Benwood, WV, was charged with retail theft after Scott police said he tried to steal several laptop computers from Walmart on Jan. 17. Police arrested Risden and returned the laptops to the store.

Burglary reported: Scott police said a television and video game system were stolen from an apartment unit in the 400 block of Carothers Avenue on Jan. 18.

 

Drunken driving arrest: Heidelberg police charged a 27-year-old Turtle Creek man with drunken driving and other charges after officers said he was speeding through the borough despite “dangerous” winter weather. Jerome Thomas was charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license and speeding following the traffic stop along Route 50 on Jan. 21.
