Police say a West Mifflin man assaulted his uncle, stole money and took his gold ring. Read that and more crime news in the weekly police blotter.

Nephew accused of robbing uncle: Collier police say a 23-year-old West Mifflin man assaulted his uncle, stole money and took his gold ring. Police charged Geno Mitchell with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and harassment after the uncle told investigators he was assaulted and robbed in the 1000 block of Washington Pike on April 26.

Retail theft arrests: Holly Doerfeler and Fauna Guthrie, both 18 and from Shaler, face retail theft charges after Collier Township police said they tried to steal $32 worth of merchandise from Kmart on April 27.

Man found stumbling on busy road: James Ciesielski, 54, of Collier, was charged with public drunkenness after township police said he was seen stumbling on Thoms Run Road near the U.S. Post Office on May 2.

Car vandalized: Collier police said someone smashed a car window on May 4 while the vehicle was parked at the ChemTech building.

Bar fight: A Canonsburg man faces several charges after Bridgeville police say he inappropriately touched a woman multiple times and threw chairs around Castaway’s Bar on April 29. James Cowden, 33, was arrested and charged with indecent assault, disorderly conduct and harassment after officers said he was causing problems and trying to start fights at the bar along Washington Avenue.

Wanted man arrested: Bridgeville police said they arrested a man who was wanted on a warrant from Heidelberg. Police saw Robert Parker walking in the borough on April 28 and stopped him. Officers said they also found a prescription pill in his pocket and charged him with disorderly conduct.

DUI arrest: Coty Bradburn, 23, of Tampa, FL, was charged with drunken driving after Bridgeville police said the driver on Washington Avenue in the early hours of April 28.

Underage drinking citation: Bridgeville police said they cited Patrick Angelici, 20, of Bethel Park for underage drinking in the early hours of April 28.

 

Man charged with burglary: Nicholas Swedish, 33, of Collier, was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and theft on May 5 after Scott police said he entered a home and took a laptop computer and prescription medication.

DUI and drug charges: Brandie Grosskinsky, 20, of Dormont, was charged with drunken driving after Scott police said she was driving erratically in the early hours of April 30. During the stop, police said they found a passenger, Stephen A. Bobchak, 25, of Coraopolis, with marijuana and charged him.

Threats made during eviction: David Cairns II, 40, of Scott, was charged with terroristic threats and harassments on May 6 after township police said he threatened his landlord while being evicted from an apartment in the 500 block of Center Street.

Fight leads to charges: Diana Snyder, 47, of Scott, was charged with simple assault after township police said she was involved in a fight on May 6.

Copper stolen from building: Scott police said copper overflow pipes were removed from two water heaters in a building in the 700 block of Carothers Avenue.

Drunk and disorderly charges: Joseph Tulick, 24, of Pittsburgh, was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after Scott Township police said he was causing problems on Bell Avenue on May 4.

Public drunkenness charge: Scott Township police said they charged Tyler Meneely, 21, of Carnegie, with public drunkenness while he was at the GetGo gas station along Washington Avenue shortly after midnight on May 1.

Public intox arrest: Jeffery Aldridge, 39, of Carnegie, was charged with public drunkenness on May 5 after Scott police said he was involved in an argument in the 500 block of Carothers Avenue.
