Missing Collier Woman Found Safe in Pittsburgh

Police had been searching for a woman who left her personal care home in Collier last Friday to attend the Regatta.

Police have located a woman who had missing from her personal care home in Collier Township more than six days after leaving to attend the Pittsburgh Regatta.

said Thursday morning that investigators found Robin Moore in Pittsburgh after authorities put out a missing persons report when she still hadn’t returned home Wednesday.

According to WTAE-TV, Moore was permitted to leave the personal care facility on Friday to go to the Regatta, but she never came home. When she still had not returned by Wednesday, personal care workers notified Collier police of her disappearance.

The staff said they were especially concerned because they did not believe she was carrying enough insulin to be away for nearly a week.

Collier police said authorities in Pittsburgh were able to locate her and that she was safe. They did not elaborate on her condition or why she was gone for so long.
