Man Found Lying in Road in Carnegie Dies, Hit and Run Possible

Allegheny County police are investigating.

Allegheny County police tell the Post-Gazette that a hit-and-run accident may have killed a man found lying on North Bell Avenue in Carnegie early Friday morning.

The 53-year-old man suffered fatal head and chest injuries. He was not shot or stabbed, according to the newspaper.

Police reported the man had been staying at the Extended Stay America since November. He was formerly from Scott Township, according to WTAE.

An autopsy has been scheduled.
