A Scott Township man was arrested earlier this month after police said he stole his elderly neighbor’s car and threatened her if she called authorities.
Scott Township police said Robert Jasper, 47, took the woman’s car from her Elmbrook Lane home and was seen driving it around the neighborhood on March 8.
The woman was fearful, police said, so she didn’t contact them. However, another person in the neighborhood noticed Jasper driving the woman’s car and called police.
Police on the following day charged Jasper with theft and terroristic threats. He was released on those charges, but investigators later discovered he was wanted on other felony charges.
Police said they also charged him with resisting arrest while trying to take him into custody the second time.
