Local Man Arrested Twice In One Day

A Bridgeville man was arrested and charged twice Aug. 21 for public intoxication.

Public intoxication: Randy Thompson, 45, of Bridgeville, was arrested not once, but twice Aug. 21 for public intoxication. Thompson, who has had previous run-ins with the law, was found by police lying face down in a yard on New York Street after police received a report of a male staggering and falling into yards along Pennsylvania Avenue. After being arrested, cited and release to a family member, Thompson was arrested again less than two hours later by Bridgeville police after they received a call about an intoxicated male near Co-Go’s on Station Street.

Corruption of minors, furnishing liquor to minors, carrying a false identification card and underage consumption of alcohol: Devante Brooks, 18, of Bridgeville, was charged with three counts of corruption of minors, four counts furnishing liquor to minors, carrying a false ID card and underage consumption of alcohol Aug. 1, when police investigated a noise complaint at the rear of an apartment building in 300 block of Hickman Street. The juveniles were cited for liquor law violations by Bridgeville Police Department.

Forgery and prohibited acts of the drug laws: Sandra Gorsop, 43, of Cuddy, was arrested and charged with forgery and prohibited acts of the drug laws Aug.14. Bridgeville police made the arrest after responding to Rite Aid, 417 Chartiers St., when they were notified someone was trying to fill an altered prescription.

Unauthorized use of an automobile: Aug. 21 a male at McLaughlin Park informed police he wanted to file charges against his girlfriend who took his car without his permission. Wendy Hunter, 45, of South Fayette, was charged with unauthorized use of an automobile by Bridgeville police.

Burglary: Aug. 2 Collier Township police responded to a call on Noblestown Road after someone reported forcible entry into their residence, as their kitchen window was removed and used as an entrance. The only item currently known missing is a gun.

Burglary: A 42” Sanyo television valued at $589 and BB Gun were taken from a residence on Pinkerton Run Road Aug. 7, when someone forced their way into the residence through the rear door. Collier Township police responded to the call and the case is still open.

Public drunkenness, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, open lewdness and drug violations: Police witnessed Arron Pollard, 23, of Pittsburgh, urinating in plain view of customers in the parking lot of Exxon, 2022 Washington Pike, Aug. 21. When police tried to speak to Pollard he became agitated and attempted to walk away after he was told he was being placed under arrest for open lewdness. Pollard struggled with police and refused to be handcuffed. Heidelberg police subdued Pollard and transported him to the station. He was charged with public drunkenness, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, open lewdness and drug violations.

Theft: Scott Township police are investigating theft of cash from an office in the Carnegie Industrial Park which took place Aug. 16.

Retail theft and theft of deception: Tiffani Schoolcraft, 19, of Carnegie, was arrested and charged by Scott Township police with retail theft and theft of deception after her involvement in taking $50 to $199 worth of merchandise from a store Aug. 19.

Criminal mischief: Aug. 17 a victim reported to Scott Township Police someone broke out the front passenger side of his 2009 Dodge Charger overnight. The case is still open.

Criminal mischief and theft: Aug. 17 a victim reported to Scott Township police damage and theft to his vehicle while being parked overnight at the Greenbriar Apartment Complex. The case is still open.

Criminal mischief: Aug. 19 a victim reported to Scott Township police an unknown person broke out the windsheild of her vehicle overnight. The case is still open.

Theft, public drunkenness, harassment: James Chiodo, 40, of Pittsburgh, was charged with theft from motor vehicle, public drunkenness and harassment by Scott Township police Aug. 20 after he was found inside the victim's vehicle.

Fraud/access device and receiving stolen property: According to Scott Township police Aug. 21 a victim's credit card was compromised with unauthorized purchases. The case is still open.

Criminal mischief: An actor, name not released, was arrested by Scott Township police for criminal mischief Aug. 21 after witnesses viewed him throwing a water bottle at a vehicle causing damage.
