Thief Steals Cash, Hoagies From Shop

DiMario's Railroad Street Cafe in Bridgeville was burglarized early Tuesday morning.

A hungry burglar broke into in Bridgeville early Tuesday morning and stole the cash register, several bottles of liquor… and four hoagies.

said someone used a rock to smash the door of the restaurant at 429 Railroad St. some time after 2:30 a.m. and took the $20 of cash, four bottles of various liquors and the sandwiches.

Bridgeville police Chief Chad King said they were able to recover blood from the scene when the person was cut on the door and are testing the DNA samples to find a match. They’re also were looking for fingerprints inside the building and on bottles.

Kind said they also are reviewing surveillance video and “have some suspects in mind.”

Police passed by the business around 2:30 a.m. and didn’t notice any problems. Authorities weren’t notified until 5:50 a.m. about the break-in.
