A New Castle woman faces charges after Heidelberg police said she assaulted another woman over missing prescription medicine.

Police said they were called to a home in the 1700 block of Washington Street on Dec. 23 when they found the two women fighting.

Police said they charged 35-year-old Danine Kaercher simple assault, harassment, reckless endangerment and criminal attempt.

The other woman had injuries following the fight in the living room, police said. Kaercher will be sent the charges by summons.
