Elderly Woman Charged in DUI Crash

A 67-year-old woman faces drunken driving charges after Bridgeville police said she crashed into a parked car and then left the scene.

Mary Stanton was charged with DUI and other related counts following the collision in the 600 block of Bank Street shortly before 9 p.m. on Jan. 10, borough police said.

Officers said they arrived and found a parked car with damage and another car a few blocks away that also appeared to be involved in the crash. Police impounded Stanton’s car and later tracked the woman to a Scott Township home, where she was arrested.

Police did not say if Stanton or anyone else was injured in the crash.

Bridgeville

Michael Fende, 41, and James Mehlmeyer, 48, were cited for harassment after Bridegville police said the roommates got into a fight at their Baldwin Street apartment in the early hours of Jan 6.
