DUI, Public Intoxication Arrests Reported in Bridgeville

Bridgeville police reports, April 11 to April 20.

Bridgeville police made numerous public intoxication arrests and filed several DUI charges between April 11 and April 20.

Charges filed during that time are as follows:

April 11

  • Brian Carnahan, 56, of Bridgeville, was charged with obstructing administration of law, hindering apprehension and unsworn falsification to authorities. Bridgeville police said Carnahan provided false or misleading information to police following a car accident in the 300 block of Murray Street at 11 p.m. that involved a friend of his.

April 13

  • Shannon Ramous, 26, of Morgan, Pa., was charged with an alcohol-related DUI after police stopped her car for a traffic violation near the intersection of Hickman Street and Washington Avenue at 12:43 a.m.

April 15

  • Police responded to St. Clair Street at 1 p.m. after a resident reported that a neighbor had cut down a tree, let it fall onto his property, and didn’t remove it. Police warned the neighbor, Richard Bakey, 19, of Bridgeville, 24 hours to remove the tree. When he failed to do so, police cited him with scattering rubbish. According to the police report, Bakey had been warned in February for a similar incident where he disposed of an old mattress by throwing it on the same neighbor’s property.

April 17

  • Bridgeville police were called to Chartiers Street for a report of a minor collision at 8:54 a.m. While police were on scene, the driver, Mark Laipple, 50, of South Fayette, collided with the same vehicle for the second time, according to the report. Laipple was charged with a drug-related DUI.

April 18

  • Amanda Franklin, 21, of Bridgeville, was charged with simple assault following a disturbance at an apartment in the 500 block of Washington Avenue at 5:40 p.m.

April 20

  • John Krantz, 58, of Bridgeville was charged with an alcohol-related DUI after he was involved in a collision in a parking lot in the 700 block of Washington Avenue at 9:30 a.m., according to police.
  • Nicholas Kerr, 33, of South Fayette, was charged with an alcohol-related DUI after police stopped his car for running a red light at Bower Hill Road and Washington Avenue at 1:27 a.m.
  • Brent Panza, 40, of Dravosburg was charged with an alcohol-related DUI after the car he was driving collided with another vehicle on Ramsey Avenue at 6:27 p.m.
