Bridgeville police say a man threw rubbish and made obscene gestures to other people. Also, read about vandalism done to the military PX building at Nike Site.

Man accused of trashing Route 50: Police say a drunk and irate Bridgeville man threw garbage onto Washington Avenue and made obscene gestures to other people in the early hours of April 25. Bridgeville police said 42-year-old Thomas Beeson threw garbage into the roadway near Station Street and was disorderly when officers tried to arrest him shortly before 6 a.m. Beeson was charged with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, obstructing a highway, scattering rubbish and public drunkenness.

DUI arrest: Judi Bellaire, 27, of McDonald, was charged with drunken driving after Bridgeville police said they stopped her car on Washington Avenue on April 22.

Disorderly conduct charge: Gary Appling, 66, of Bridgeville, was charged with disorderly conduct on April 23 after borough police said they smelled marijuana coming from a Station Street apartment.

Drunken driving charge: Bridgeville police said they charged Christopher Heibert, 44, of McCandless, with drunken driving after a traffic stop along Washington Avenue on April 25.

Traffic stop leads to arrest: Laurissa Ellis, 19, of Perryopolis was charged with disorderly conduct and driving on a suspended license after Bridgeville police said they stopped her car along Commercial Street on April 27. Officers said they could smell marijuana coming from the car and found a pipe.

 

Nike Site PX vandalized: Collier police said someone vandalized the military’s post-exchange building, parking lot and soccer goals at the new Collier Community Center. Police said vandals spray painted graffiti onto the PX at the former Nike Site and also damaged the nearby soccer field goal posts, which was discovered on April 27.

Purse stolen from car: A woman told Collier police that her purse with $62 in it was stolen from her car on April 23 while it was parked in the 100 block of Cloverleaf Drive.

Retail theft and drug charges: Gale Chambers, 50, of Pittsburgh, was charged with retail theft and drug possession after Collier police said she tried to steal $111 worth of merchandise from Kmart on April 21.

DUI and underage drinking charges: Shane Jordan, 19, of South Park, was charged with drunken driving, underage drinking and careless driving after Collier police said they stopped his car along Washington Pike in the early hours of April 29.

 

Drug possession charge: Courtney Fletcher, 24, of Mt. Lebanon was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop along Collier Avenue on April 25, Heidelberg police said.

 

Burglary foiled at Carriage Park: Scott police are investigating an intruder who entered a Carriage Park apartment unit on April 23. Police said the man ran from the apartment shortly after 9 p.m. when the resident confronted him. Police said they are continuing to investigate the attempted burglary.

Drunk and disorderly at gas station: Joseph Solomon, 36, of Scott, was charged with assault and public drunkenness on April 28 after township police said he was causing problems while at the GetGo gas station on Washington Avenue.

Man faces assault charges: John Garrett, 32, of Scott, was charged with assault, terroristic threats, harassment and public drunkenness on April 29 after township police said he was involved in a fight in the 1700 block of Main Street.

DUI arrest: John Clawson, 62, of Scott, was charged with drunken driving after township police said they stopped his car in the 2300 block of Greentree Road on April 24.

Theft from storage unit: Scott police said a storage unit in the 700 block of Carothers Avenue was burglarized and power tools stolen on April 25.
