A Pittsburgh man accused of assaulting a young child under the age of 12 will head to trial on multiple charges.

Charges of child endangerment, reckless endangerment and three counts of simple assault against 25-year-old Ronald Oliver were waived to court before his Aug. 20 preliminary court hearing with .

Allegheny County police arrested Oliver on May 11 after investigators accused him of the assault in Bridgeville on April 11.

His formal arraignment at the Allegheny County Courthouse is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 3. Oliver is free on $10,000 bond.

McGraw-Desmet had no other preliminary hearings this week.

Charges held for court

  • Charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child against Brad T. Washington, 38, of Scott, were held for court. Scott Township police arrested Washington on Aug. 5.
  • Charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license against Spencer W. Servey, 30, of Bridgeville, were held for court. Scott Township police arrested Servey on July 1.

 

Charges waived to court

  • Simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness charges against Jay McGregor, 50, of Heidelberg, were waived to court. Heidelberg police charged McGregor on Aug. 10.
  • A charge of false identification to law enforcement against Anthony Miess, 31, of Pittsburgh was waived to court. Scott Township police charged Miess on April 7.
  • Drunken driving charges against Brandie M. Grosskinsky, 21, of Dormont, were waived to court. Scott Township police arrested Grosskinsky on April 30.
