District Court Rulings – 7/26

Two people arrested April 2 on felony drug charges are heading to trial. Read about that and more preliminary court decisions.

Charges waived to court

  • Three felony drug charges with intent to deliver and additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia against Richard T. Bakey, 19, of Scott Township, were waived to court. Scott police charged Bakey on April 2.
  • A felony drug charge and misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia against Brittan L. Yurick, 20, of Collier, were waived to court. Two felony drug charges were withdrawn. Scott police originally charged Yurick on April 2.
  • Charges of retaliation against a witness, simple assault, terroristic threats and theft against Daric Anderson, 23, of Scott Township, were waived to court. A robbery charge was withdrawn. Scott police originally charged Anderson on June 22.
  • Charges of evidence tampering, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia against Michael H. Brooks, 36, of Heidelberg, were waived to court. Heidelberg police charged Brooks on July 15.
  • Charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia against Jason E. Porter, 39, of Clinton, were waived to court. Scott police originally charged Porter on April 21.
  • Charges of retail theft and driving on a suspended license against Clinton A. McLaughlin, 44, of Pittsburgh, were waived to court. Scott police charged McLaughlin on July 3.
  • Charges of drunken driving and causing damage to an unattended vehicle against Gerald M. Tarnosky, 45, of Carnegie, were waived to court. Heidelberg police arrested Tarnosky on May 17.

Charges withdrawn

  • Charges of stalking, harassment and making false reports again Alex C. Sinkamba, 45, of Scott, were withdrawn. Scott police originally charged Sinkamba on Feb. 8.
  • Simple assault, marijuana possession, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia charges against Gerald Perella, 26, of Scott Township, were withdrawn. Perella was originally charged on March 21.
  • Charges of retail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance against Alicia L. Vargo, 19, of Weirton, WV, were withdrawn. A disorderly conduct charge was reduced to a non-traffic citation.  Scott police originally charged Vargo on Feb. 23.
  • Theft and receiving stolen property charges against Deborah A. Napolitano, 60, of Whitehall, were withdrawn. Scott police originally charge Napolitano on July 2.

 

 

Charges waived to court

  • Charges of drunken driving and driving on a suspended license against Philip T. Kyritz, 43, of Upper St. Clair, were waived to court. Bridgeville police arrested Kyritz on May 26.
  • Charges of drunken driving, causing damage to an unattended vehicle and driving under the influence of a controlled substance against Carlo A. Williams, 22, of Pittsburgh, were waived to court. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and marijuana possession were withdrawn. Collier arrested Williams on March 28.
  • A possession of a controlled substance charge against Joshua Shaffer, 35, of Carnegie, was waived to court. Collier Township police charged Shaffer on May 2.
