Crash on Greentree Road Leads to DUI Arrest

Scott Township police said they charged a driver with DUI following a crash on Greentree Road earlier this month. Read about that and other crime news in the weekly Scott Township police blotter.

Scott Township police said they charged a driver with DUI following a crash on Greentree Road earlier this month.

Police said they were called to a two-vehicle crash near Carriage Park Apartments around 8:30 p.m. on April 4.

Lara Szymanski, 42, of Pittsburgh, was charged with drunken driving and and also faces several traffic offenses following the crash, police said.

Police did not say if there were any injuries resulting from the crash.

Scott Township

Threats lead to charges: Marlo Shipeck, 32, of Conway, was charged with terroristic threats and harassment after Scott Township police said he was harassing a resident in the 100 block of Jamestown Drive on April 4.

Man charge with harassment: Scott Township police said they charged Steve Apolito, 47, of Carnegie, with harassment for yelling at Walmart employees on April 4.

Paraphernalia charges: Brittany Zietak, 22, of Bethel Park, and Amanda Moore-Tomeo, 21, of Scott, both face possession of drug paraphernalia charges after township police said they went to Moore-Tomeo’s home to service a probation violation on April 2.

Trespassing charge: Christopher Davis, 37, of Scott, was charged with trespassing on April 7 after township police said he went into Walmart after being told he wasn’t permitted to enter the store.
