Copper Pipes Stolen From Vacant Collier Home

Someone broke into a vacant Kirwan Heights home last week and stole copper piping from the residence.
Collier Township police said a person who was cleaning the home on North Gray Avenue on March 7 to prepare it for sale found the house burglarized.
Police said more than $200 worth of copper piping was taken from the vacant home.

Public intox charge: Kieran Downey, 56, of Pittsburgh, was charged with public drunkenness after Collier Township police said they saw him visibly intoxicated and falling into Thoms Run Road on Feb. 21.
Merchandise stolen: Collier Township police said a pen worth $41 and music ear buds worth $24 were stolen from OfficeMax on Feb. 28. Police said a white man in his late 20s stole the merchandise before leaving in a Mercedes-Benz.
Leaf blower taken from storage area: A leaf blower worth $500 and GPS unit worth about $300 were stolen on March 5 from construction vehicles parked at a storage area along Ewing Road, Collier Township police said.
