Collier Police Chase Driver on Thoms Run Road

A Collier Township man with a suspended driver’s license allegedly led police officers on a brief chase along Thoms Run Road earlier this month.

Collier police said they recognized 32-year-old Lucas Bailey driving on Nov. 21 after his license had been suspended for a previous DUI.

He didn’t immediately stop, police said, and kept driving despite the officers activating their emergency lights. He eventually stopped, but did not pull over to the side of the road.

Police said they charged Bailey with fleeing from police, driving while on a suspended license and drug possession.

Christmas decorations vandalized: A mailbox in front of an Azalea Drive residence was damaged on Nov. 22, Collier police said. A few days later on Nov. 25, police said a Columbia Avenue resident told someone damaged a blow-up lighted tree and two deer set out as Christmas decorations.

Townhomes burglarized: Two stoves and a hot water heater were reported stolen on Nov. 25 from the Centennial Point townhouse community near Baldwin Road that is under construction.

Store vandalized with eggs: Two 17-year-old girls from Washington, PA , are accused of throwing eggs at Plato’s Closet on Nov. 21 after they came into the store trying to sell various items.
