Collier Man Stabbed During Bar Fight

Police said a Collier man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed in the eye and back by a Scott Township man while they were at a Campbells Run Road bar.

Robinson police said a late-night scuffle at a Campbells Run Road bar ended with a man suffering life-threatening stab wounds. 

Police said Adam Pastorak, 29, of Collier Township, was found just before 2 a.m. on Sept. 1 laying on the floor of , bleeding heavily from wounds in his right eye and back from an apparent stabbing. 

When authorities arrived, bar patrons surrounded the injured man, one putting pressure on his back to suppress the bleeding, police described in a report.

Ryan Francis, 23, of Scott, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault in connection to the stabbing, according to police records. 

After an argument at the bar just before last call, Pastorak and Francis engaged in a fight in the parking lot.

Francis pulled a knife from his car, stabbing Pastorak in the back and face during the brawl, police said. 

Francis and his friends, who were at the bar for a birthday celebration, fled. A bartender took down the vehicle's license plate number, which police tracked to a Collier Township home, where they found Francis. 

One of Francis's friends told police the group left because they were "scared for their life." 

Pastorak was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with what police described as life-threatening injuries. He was released from the hospital by the end of the week, police said. 

Francis will face a preliminary hearing Sept. 11 in Robinson District Court.
