Charges Held for Court Against Man Involved in Superior Street Crash

Updates from the court of Magisterial District Judge Gary Zyra.

The following is an update on court cases heard by District Judge Gary Zyra on June 13. Zyra oversees Heidelberg and Scott Township.

Charges were held for court against a Heidelberg man involved in a DUI crash on Superior Street in Scott Township in February.

Scott Township police charged Gary Broyles, 54, of Heidelberg, with several counts of DUI and traffic offenses during a weekend of roving DUI patrols after Broyles was involved in a car accident.

Charges Withdrawn:

  • Theft charges against Jerome Coulehan, 24, of Brookline, were withdrawn. Scott Township police charged Coulehan on April 1.

Charges Waived/Held for court:
  • Charles Tigner, 42, of Carnegie, waived to court charged of simple assault and harassment. Scott Township police charged Tigner on June 3.
  • Joshua Beres, 21, of Carnegie, waived to court charges of DUI, possession of marijuana, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, purchase of alcohol by a minor and a traffic violation. Heidelberg Borough police charged Beres on April 2.
