Bridgeville Woman Waives Drug Charges to Court

Updates from the court of Magisterial District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet.

The following is an update on court cases heard by District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet on July 22. McGraw-Desmet oversees Bridgeville and Collier Township.

A Bridgeville woman who was found with illegal pills during a traffic stop has waived numerous drug charges to court.

Bridgeville police arrested Casey Bible, 23, in May on a warrant stemming from an October incident. According to the police report, Bridgeville police stopped a car for a traffic violation on Carol Avenue on Oct. 6 and found Bible and Brenton Dillon, 28, also of Bridgeville, in possession of a large amount of illegal pills. Dillon was arrested and charged several months ago.

A preliminary hearing for Bible was scheduled for July 22 before Magisterial District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet. Bible waived to court the following charges: manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; possession of a controlled substance; and a traffic violation.

Charges of possession of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia were withdrawn. Formal arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 6.

Waived/Held for Court:

  • Charges of possession of marijuana, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and other drug charges against Jedidiah Platt, 32, of Carnegie, were held for court. A charge of delivery/intent to deliver drug paraphernalia was withdrawn. Collier Township police charges Platt on July 8.
