Bridgeville Woman Jailed After Alleged Assault

Bridgeville Police news, June 9 to July 13.

A Bridgeville woman was taken to Allegheny County Jail on July 13 and was later released after police received a report that she assaulted someone.

Bridgeville police responded to the 200 block of Washington Avenue at 5 p.m. for a report of an assault, and arrested Kathleen Grimes, 40. Grimes was charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, according to court records.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet.

  • Police responded to the area of Garden Street near Luna Street on June 9 at 8:19 p.m. for a report of a rock thrown at a parked car, causing damage. Jeremy Trussell, 21, of Bridgeville, was cited for criminal mischief.
  • Brandon L. Raineri, 33, of Midway, was arrested for an alcohol-related DUI at 2:12 a.m. on June 29 after police said he made an illegal left turn from Hickman St. onto Washington Avenue.
  • Police arrested James Wright Jr., 33, of Bridgeville and charged him with simple assault following an incident in the 200 block of St. Clair street on July 2 at 9:45 a.m.
  • On July 6 at 9:50 p.m., police received a report of a threatening phone call made to a resident in the 50 block of Calvert  Street. Police arrested Bryan Palmer, 39, of Bridgeville on a warrant for Indirect criminal contempt.
  • Police responded to a call for help at a home in the 200 block of Ramsey Avenue on July 10 at 2:13 a.m. and found a male in possession of pills for which he had no prescription. Bruce Carsone, 57, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
  • Police arrested Jason Brokenbek, 27, of South Fayette and Crafton, was arrested and charged with retail theft after stealing a cell phone at Rite Aid on July 12 at 3:40 p.m., according to the police report.
