Attempted Robbery Reported at Pit Stop Express

Scott Township police blotter, April 22 to April 28.

Scott Township police are investigating a robbery attempt at the Pit Stop Express on Painters Run Road.

According to the police report, a white male attempted to rob the store on April 27 at 11:51 p.m. He reportedly did not show a weapon. The investigation is ongoing.

Michael Ferita, 26, of Pittsburgh, was charged with disorderly conduct after drug parapharnelia was found during a traffic stop on Orchard Street on April 24 at 9:17 p.m.

Jewlery was stolen from a home on White Birch Circle on April 25 between 6 and 11 p.m. Police have identified a suspect, but the investigation is ongoing.

Michael Kubik, 24, of Carnegie, was cited for public intoxication after an incident at the Get Go on Washington Avenue on April 27 at 3 a.m.

Mark Giles, 24, of Coraopolis, and Joseph Turek, 34, of Scott Township, each were cited for disorderly conduct following an incident in the 400 block of Lindsay Road on April 28 around 10:30 a.m.
