5 Things To Do This Weekend

Here are 5 reasons to get out of the house this weekend.

1.
Where?/When?: Houston American Legion Picnic Grounds, Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m.
Why Go?: This 28th Annual event is sponsored by the Houston VFD. The festival features family oriented arts, crafts, food and entertainment. Click here to view a full schedule of events.
Pricing: Free admission and shuttle.

Where?/When?: Scott Township Municipal Park, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Why Go?: This annual festival features live entertainment, food, crafts, pony rides, petting zoo, pumpkin painting and much more!

3.
Where?/When?: , Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why Go?: The Presto Vendor Show will feature Pampered Chef, Partylite, Cookie Lee and many more.  This is a great place to start your holiday shopping early! The show also features a large Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, bake sale, and food. Proceeds will benefit the Presto VFD.

Where?/When?: , Friday-Saturday, 7 p.m.
Why Go?: Join the Outdoor Classroom for a fun and UN-spooky night in the forest under the autumn moon. The hikes are family and young child friendly and are not meant to scare! Groups are encouraged to attend as we learn the science behind some of the sights and sounds of the nocturnal world. Registrations are required and walk-ins will not be accepted. Each child will receive The Outdoor Classroom participation patch for completing the hike and your group's photo will be taken with our Classroom jack-o-lanterns!

Where?/When?: , Everyday in October
Why Go?: Panera Bread is inviting its customers to join in the fight against breast cancer by purchasing a Pink Ribbon Bagel in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Panera will GO PINK and partner with The Young Women’s Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation (YWBCAF) and Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation (MWRIF) and donate a portion of the proceeds from every Pink Ribbon Bagel sold. The YWBCAF and Panera GO PINK event will take place in all 28 Pittsburgh café locations and the proceeds benefit the Breast Cancer Patient Navigator Program at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC.
