2012 Voters Guide

This is the 2012 Voters Guide. If you believe in Freedom and Liberty, please download it, and take it to the polls with you.

As an active member of Firearm Owners Against Crime (FOAC), I and many other volunteers spend hundreds of hours preparing our voters guides for all 7 zones in Pennsylvania. Most of you are in Zone 1, and you can get the information you need by simply clicking on www.foacpac.org, selecting the Zone you're interested in, and asking the computer to show it to you by following the prompt. Our interest is transparent. We are indeed firearm owners from across the Commonwealth, and we are ardently against crime. To that end, we endorse candidates based on questionnaires, personal interviews, and voting records. Those candidates are most likely to support your right to keep and bear arms. Please note that we don't necessarily follow the National Rifle Association. Our focus is on Pennsylvania, and we believe we are far better equipped to judge candidates than a national organization. NRA, unfortunately, comprises. We do not. This election is likely going to be one of the most historic in our lifetime. Please print out a copy of the voter guide, and take it to the polls. If you support the Constitution of the United States, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, you'll find it an easy way to vet out pro freedom candidates. Above all, VOTE on November 6th.

Mike, in 2008 Obama campaigned on permanently reinstating the assault weapons ban*. Once he was elected he (and Holder) backed off and emphasized enforcement of current laws (still on change.gov site). I agree that he hasn't done much of anything during his first term opposing gun rights (think he has an F by the Brady campaign). But that doesn't change the fact that he has stated that he supports the ban.... or maybe he doesn't. Chances are he's just playing the public... hint at it enough to get the D vote without losing the I vote. It's really just a game. No one knows what these candidates actually believe... * From his campaign site: They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent, as such weapons belong on foreign battlefields and not on our streets. @Joseph... I don't disagree with you that his platform calls for reinstating the assault weapons ban, but his presidency (and 2012 campaign) has showed us where it is on his list of priorities.

Words and (mis)perceived intentions do not equal legislation.

I'm highly offended by the statement - "If you give it enough thought, you will easily see that gun control is racism in its ugliest and meanest form." Gave it some thought - and I'm still offended. I honestly don't get that statement in any way, shape or form. If you had ever been the target of racism in your life, you would know how ridiculous that is. I also noticed you never answered Mike Jones' question about why you are supporting Romney, who has actually implemented a gun control bill, rather than Obama who has not. I'm sure you have other reasons, but this thread is actually about gun control, so you may want to address why these groups support Romney, not just some vague opinion that Republicans generally don't support gun control.
