Lenten Sides to go with Fish Fry!

Old fashioned Polish Halushky!!

Every year during Lent I try to discover different sides to go along with the fish sandwich or the fish entree. I have a few I think you would love and your kids too, simple easy recipes! Enjoy!

This week's recipe is good genuine Polish halushky!

2 sticks butter

1 onion-chopped

1 head cabbage-shredded

In a big fry pan or sauce pan melt 1 stick of butter, add onions and cabbage little at a time, medium heat, once all cabbage is added lay other stick of butter on top and place lid over pan and lower heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, then stir and cook until cabbage is see thru and tender! Boil your noodles while this is cooking, once cabbage mix is cooked, add your noodles to it and cook until browned. This is very good, add salt and pepper to your tastes and diet. Enjoy!
