Green Thumbs Should Attend Gardening Workshop

The "Pruning, the Kindest Cut" is part of the seasonal topics from the Allegheny County Penn State Master Gardeners series.

The Scott Conservancy is holding a gardening education program Wednesday night.

The “Pruning, the Kindest Cut” presentation by Martha Swiss is part of the seasonal topics from the Allegheny County Penn State Master Gardeners series.

The Conservancy said pruning is “one of the least understood aspects of gardening, and yet it is critical for a healthy and attractive landscape.” The workshop will help people understand how to rejuvenate overgrown shrubbery and trees while improving appearance. The class will also cover tools, safety and pruning techniques.
