Route 50 Road Work Begins April 30
Weather permitting, work will continue at night through May 6.
If you’re traveling Route 50 after 8 p.m. for the next several nights, you might run into a bit of roadwork, lane closures and delays.
Weather permitting, PennDOT crews will begin crack and joint sealing on Route 50 in Scott and Collier townships today, Tuesday.
Short-term, slow-moving lane closures are expected to occur in both directions at various locations from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights through May 6.

Swank Construction Company, LLC. of New Kensington, PA will perform the work under a contract with PennDOT.
Drivers are advised to use caution and expect changing traffic patterns in these areas, and can visit 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major roadways before traveling.
