Charges Withdrawn Against Men Accused of Stealing Beer Pitcher

An update on court cases heard by District Judge Gary Zyra.

The following is an update on court cases heard by District Judge Gary Zyra on April 25. Zyra oversees Heidelberg and Scott Township.

Most charges were withdrawn against two men accused of stealing a beer pitcher from Heidelway Bar in Heidelberg in January.

Charges of theft, recklessly endangering another person and reckless driving were withdrawn, and a disorderly conduct charge was reduced to a non-traffic citation, against Justin Wells, 23, of Castle Shannon, following a preliminary hearing on April 25.

A theft charge against Robert Ball, 23, of Scott Township also was withdrawn and a disorderly conduct charged was reduced to a non-traffic citation, according to court records.

  • A charge of possession of marijuana was withdrawn and a disorderly conduct charge was reduced to a non-traffic citation against Daniel Revesz, 22, of Carnegie. Scott police charged Revesz on Feb. 20.

Waived or held for courtΒ 

  • Charges of retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft against Londaya Nelson, 35, of Pittsburgh, were held for court following a preliminary hearing on April 25. Scott police charged Nelson on Dec. 25, 2012.
  • Charges of driving under the influence, failure to carry registration, driving without a license and several traffic offenses against Molly Hoover, 49, of Green Tree, were waived to court. A charge of reckless driving was withdrawn. Scott police charged Hoover on Feb. 4.
  • Charges of acquiring or obtaining possession of a controlled substance, theft, tampering with records, and furnishing false or fraudulent material information against Melissa Cecere, 31, of Green Tree, were waived for court on April 25. Scott police charged Cecere on Feb. 16.
