Ribs and Wings Festival

As you know, I look for events that are family-friendly, offer plenty to do and do not have a steep price tag, and when I find this type of event, I love to let you all in on the news.

South Park Rib and Wing Challenge is up and coming Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day.  There is a lot to do there from live music, to kids events to yes you guessed it eating.  This event is really nice for families because Children 11 and under are free! Ticket prices are $10 for general admission which includes: music, -children's zone -crafter's market -Wild World of Animals shows -activity tent -pony rides and the petting zoo.

"The Family Area at the Rib and Wing Challenge features all the games, activities and entertainment anyone could ask for.  Activities include potato sack races, water balloon tosses, hula hoop contests, cornhole tournament and much much more. The Wild World of Animals will be doing 3 shows a day on Saturday and Sunday! All weekend at the Rib and Wing Challenge will be a free petting zoo and free pony rides. An activity tent will be set up for everyone to be entered into "Create the Best Bib" contest."

  You will find hairspray painting, inflatables, a balloon twister, basketball shootout, palm reader and more.  Touch here for the music schedule.    As for the food, that gets even more exciting, there is a plethora of Rib and Chicken vendors that bring their best BBQ skills and allow you to savor them, and decide, who is going home with the trophy.   This wins the Family Stamp of approval because kids are able to enjoy while the adults will also be entertained.  See the South Park Rib and Wing Challenge site for all the details.  Purchase tickets on their site, advanced tickets, which relieve the price tag by a few dollars.   Check the Site for all event times and dates.  You can also check the face book site for updates.
