RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL PITTSBURGH

      The Renaissance Festival and Artisan's Marketplace is at 112 Renaissance Lane, West Newton, PA., 15089.   If you ever dreamed of the Renaissance Era your dream comes to life.  There are 4 weekends left as this began August 20  and it ends on September 25, 2011. 

Every weekend, you can experience a different theme,

  CHILDREN RULE THE COURTYARD  Children's Weekend 9/3-9/5
If you have children 12 and under this is the weekend to bring the KIDS.  Children 12 and under are admitted FREE with one paying adult.  Activities this weekend will range from activities for Prince/Princesses to a Pirate Costume Contest, medieval games of skill and medieval rides. 

Wine Lovers Unite   9/10-9/11
 Grape Stomping competition, as well as a free sampling of the finest local Pennsylvania vintages. 


The Celtic Fling        9/17 - 9/18

Traditional sounds of Celtic musicians will be recreated through Scottish pipe bands and madrigal singers.  An Irish Troubadour will also entertain with popular ballads, and Irish Dancers will keep you enthralled.  Remember.. Men in Kilts ~~~ yep there is a contest for this one.  ( I seem to remember Patrick Dempsey sporting one of these ) 
                                                         
ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END  OR, Oktoberfest:  A Final Hurrah   9/24-9/25
Village hosts, "The German Brothers" will bid adieu to the Festival Season.  German Food of every flare will be available as well as German Music and the Lederhosen and Tavern Wenches.

A few things you might want to know.  Crafts are available for purchase each day.  On each operating day the hours are 10:30a - 6:30p RAIN OR SHINE, no matter.  Discount Tickets are available at Walgreens, Wendy's, and Shop n' Save.   If you want to purchase tickets, you can do so through this link - Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival.
