CV Third Annual Pink Out Charity Event

The third annual Pink Out basketball game will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

The third annual Pink Out will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24. Come out and support the CV girls’ basketball team as they play Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 pm. In addition, the boys will be playing against Mt. Lebanon at 7:30 pm, which is a crucial section game! Pink t-shirts will be sold during all lunch periods for $10.

This year, Morgan Figura is taking charge of the newly traditional Pink Out. As her senior project, she is organizing an event where both the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams wear pink uniforms, play with a pink basketball, and shoot into pink nets. Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation; which is the most widely known, largest and best-funded breast cancer organization in the US.

However, the basketball games are not the only part of the night. Morgan will also be having various Chinese auction baskets at the games, such as: Fantastic Sams, nails, spa, coffee, Valentine’s Day, golf, and photography. The variety of baskets will suit anyone in attendance.

Also, t-shirts will be on sale at the games for those who have yet to purchase one.
Everyone is encouraged to come and support Morgan Figura’s senior project. The Pink Out at CV is always a big hit! Not only does it bring awareness to breast cancer, but it also raises money for the cause, and gives everyone a fun night out to watch Chartiers Valley basketball!
