Slots and Poker Tournaments Return to The Meadows

As a result of popular guest demand, this week announced it will again host a $200,000 Blackjack Tournament with multi-day satellite tournaments leading up to the main event scheduled for Dec. 8. 

Simultaneously, the destination will host a $200,000 Slots Tournament, which includes a similar satellite-style format and which will conclude with a grand-prize event on Dec. 15.

The event generated significant interest from players throughout the tri-state region with the grand-prize winner taking home $100,000 cash. 

This year’s Blackjack Tournament and Slots Tournament will allow the opportunity for guests to qualify during three designated periods.

“Our blackjack tournament this spring was a smashing success,” said Sean Sullivan, vice president and general manager of The Meadows. “Demand and feedback has been very positive, which is the reason we decided to host another tournament within six months.”

The three satellite Blackjack tournaments will consist of a total 90 players each, with the first-place player in each tournament earning $10,000. Eighteen players from each satellite tournament will advance to the main event scheduled for Dec. 8, with all vying for the top prize of $100,000—$20,000 for second place and $15,000 for third place.

The total prize pool is $200,000, and is guaranteed by the casino.

The Slots Tournament will also consist of three satellite tournaments with a maximum of 1,008 players for each event—all playing 24 designated machines within the casino. 

The top 100 players from each satellite tournament will advance to the main event on Dec. 15. The top 25 players in the main event, along with the three satellite winners, will play in a grand prize round.
