Riders Stuck After Kennywood Roller Coaster Sensor Malfunction

The popular summer attraction for Chartiers Valley-area residents experienced a sensor malfunction on Tuesday.

The Phantom's Revenge roller coaster at Kennywood suddenly stopped in the beginning of a ride Tuesday afternoon, according to KDKA.

The coaster was making its way up the first big hill when a sensor reportedly malfunctioned and it automatically stopped.

Instead of having the riders sit and wait while technicians figured out the problem, Kennywood employees had them walk down the stairway along coaster's hill.
