PNC Bank Encounters Online Hackers

The Pittsburgh-based bank seems to be the latest victim in reported cyber attacks on major banks. Find out what you need to do to protect yourself.

Some PNC Bank customers have reported problems logging into their online accounts this week.

The Post-Gazette is reporting that the Pittsburgh-based institution apparently is the latest victim in a wave of cyber attacks on major U.S. banks.

Bank spokesman Fred Solomon told the Post-Gazette Thursday morning that if a customer can't reach the website or log-in on the first attempt, the customer should just return to the site a little later.

He said some people also were having problems accessing mobile banking.

Some local PNC Bank locations include branches in South Fayette, Bridgeville and Mt. Lebanon.
